ABOUT WRCEP
(formerly Wallowa Resources Community Solutions, Inc.)

Using Renewable Energy in New Ways

We rethink energy on a community scale to maximize benefits of local energy resources for the social and economic vitality of Wallowa County, Oregon -- and beyond.

 WHAT WE DO

Energy Efficiency & Conservation

New energy efficient lighting, appliances, equipment and construction practices make it easy to reduce energy use and lower energy costs in homes, farms and businesses – often with free assessment services and cash incentives.

Micro Hydropower

Even small amounts of water moving downhill create energy that can be captured and turned into electricity for local benefit.

Solar Power

Every day the sun provides an enormous amount of energy that affordable Solar Photovoltaics can capture and turn into electricity.

Electrification

From EV Charging to Battery Storage and Disaster Resilience, electrifying our energy use creates new opportunities to keep energy dollars working locally while creating robust systems to keep the community powered when natural disasters occur.

Biomass

Biomass --wood-- is perhaps the oldest form of energy and a plentiful resource in forested communities across the West.  Today’s biomass can be used to cleanly heat buildings and offset fossil fuel use.

Our Projects

For more than 10 years we’ve been helping farmers, ranchers, businesses, municipalities, community groups and investor entities build successful projects.
